It is recommended that 7 candles or lamps are lit for seven consecutive days in every home and they offer prayers for the well being of humankind.If a thousand people are able to accomplish this task, its benefits to the universe are inestimable. If more than a thousand people are able to perform this ritual, then its benefits are equally compounded. The ritual must be performed with devotion, sincerity and surrender. When performed in the spirit of an offering to the Divine, its beneficial effects will be enduring and invaluable. Swamiji has asked His devotees to broadcast this message to the widest possible audience. The more people who pray for the welfare of the universe, the more likely are the chances of reducing the destructive play of planetary forces.We must pray to the five elements including, earth, water, fire, wind and ether for universal well-being, peace and happiness.
